About the Blog
I am twenty-one years old and I am Catholic. I like gardening, I want to be a farmer, I want to have kids young, and I want to continue my education. I am very interested in teaching but not so much in rising through a career. It's not that I'm lazy – I have other dreams. That's kind of unusual today. But I believe there are more people out there like me. I'm sharing to connect with you guys. The ones who might be like me. I think that being 21 in today's America, it seems a little backward to most people to want to work in the dirt and have physical work to do every day – rather than sit in a posh office and be called manager-on-the-way-to-CEO and get a great big salary. But that's not for me. I want to stand out.

Where are you from?
I grew up in a small town in the boondocks of Massachusetts, and I dream of moving back into the boondocks one day. But the term "boondocks" has always confused me. To me, it sounds like I'm living on the edge of a swamp or something. I'm from the sticks. The backwoods. A rural community. What are your dreams?
I dream of forever studying literature – when I'm not farming or taking care of children. I'm the sort of person with whom a lot of modern progressives will disagree, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. What should visitors to your blog know about you? I am Catholic. There. I said it. And whatever you yourself might believe, I welcome you. Can I get you something to drink? Hungry? Common courtesy applies to all people. I only require that you extend the same consideration to me and anyone else who visits. I value knowledge, humility, and love. But I make a lot of mistakes. If anyone should disagree with me on anything, they have a right– nay, a duty to say so. |
